When we first talked to the COO of Intentional Media, we knew that the SOCAP website would be a challenging project. We not only needed to create a WordPress theme from ground zero based on an exclusive layout created by a Toptal designer; we also had to migrate around 3,000 posts from 4 different websites into this new one, and finally make a permanent redirect from the old websites to the new one while making sure there were no 404 errors.
But we love challenges.
In order to migrate the posts from the old websites into the new one, we built a WordPress plugin from scratch to parse the posts one by one or based on categories and put each one of them into the new taxonomies, reducing the need of manual work to a minimum.
We care for our clients, so we made every piece of the website content editable through an admin panel, allowing users to manage the whole website without requiring any technical knowledge.
During the development period, we had several meetings and live demos with the client to ensure that no requirements were missed and they were extremely happy with the results.
Some of the other features that we developed:
Newsletter form integrated with MailChimp;
Send in-depth analytics data to Google Tag Manager.
